How to use Metal HTV
Sambhav Creation offers a great way for you to add a foil appearance to your projects. The material has a soft, smooth, and brushed metallic appearance. It can also be worn with magic! It can either be applied using a heat press or a house iron.
This product comes in 8 gorgeous colours and is very easy to use. Let’s take a look at how you can quickly and easily create with this new Heat Transfer Vinyl line: Metal!
How to Cut Metal HDTV
Mirror-cut metal with the shiny colored side down or the shiny silvery grey side. These are the recommended settings.
SILHOUETTE
- Speed: 8
- Thickness: 6
- Blade Setting: Standard and 3
CRICUT
- Standard Blade
- Setting: Vinyl +
BROTHER
- Blade: Standard 2
- Cut Speed: 5
- Reduce Pressure: 1
After cutting, weed any excess material.
How to Apply Metal HDTV
Pre-iron your t-shirt to get rid of any moisture or wrinkles. Fold the shirt in half, and then iron/press a line down the middle. Next, fold and crepe Metal’s carrier. Line it up with the crease line on the t-shirt (usually around 3 fingers from the collar).
HOME IRON
1. Lay the clothing flat on a surface.
2. Turn on the iron at home and set it to a cotton setting No steam
3. The entire design should be ironed for 10 seconds. For large designs press 10 seconds each for each section
4. Peel carrier cold
5. Cover with parchment paper. For 15 seconds, move the iron around the entire design.
HEAT PRESS
1. Lay the clothing gently on a surface.
2. Apply design at 150°C for 10 second (medium temperature)
3. Peel carrier cold
How to Wash & Care for Metal HTV
Allow 24 hours to dry the application. To protect your investment, it is recommended that you wash the project inside-out at a maximum temperature of 40°C.
Metal is not suitable for dry cleaning.
How to Layer Metal HDTV
Metal looks stunning when it’s paired with other heat-transfer vinyl. Don’t be afraid to mix colours and effects to make a unique look.

Remember that Sambhav Creation Metal only allows you to layer it as a TOP LAKER.
Tips & tricks
Do not press the Metal HTV a second time if you want it as shiny as can be.
If you prefer the more hammered Metal look then you can repress the Metal sections during application of the other HTV.
